GoGo TT-1 Clip On Tuner Reviews 4

Clip on tuners are popular right now. They are accurate enough to gig with and are cheaper and much more portable that pedal tuners. GoGo took a swing with the TT-1 and here are my thoughts on it.

I picked one up as I have tried most of the new clip on tuners on the market. What makes these sink or swim is if they can work live in a noisy environment and can that pick up the low frequencies of my bass guitar.

One is is bright orange. How is this positive? On a dark stage in a dark bag this thing is easy to spot. The tuning is very accurate. It can be calibrated to take a 440hz note anywhere from 430 up to 450hz. The 4 point swivel arm helps this thing to go 360 degrees and be viewable upright on any instrument possible. The backlight is handy and bright. It glows green once the note is in tune and shuts off after 3 minutes without being used.

The bummer is the arm did break on me. I had it clipped onto the headstock of my bass and it got knocked over accidentally between a set. I'm going to try and super glue it back together. The good news is this unit can tune by the clip and also their is a small piezo microphone, so even though my arm broke off I can still use this as a regular microphone pocket tuner.

It worked great and tuned great until I snapped the arm off. I guess I can't expect the world from a plastic tuner. Other than that I feel the tuner is pretty rugged.

Very accurate tuner. For $30 it does a great job. The orange color makes it easy to spot and the back lit display makes it very stage friendly.
